Late August and early September are when I would rather be in your gutters. Seed pods. Shingle grit. Pine needles. The first early drops. October oak leaves are not in there yet. September storms have not had a clog to work with.

Why Westford gutters clog early

Westford has trees. Lots off Route 225, Forge Village, Nabnasset, and the Littleton line drop needles and seed pods long before the big leaf week. Oaks wait. Pines and maples do not.

A gutter that looks empty from the driveway can still be packed at the downspout. Water backs up. It spills over the front edge. It stains the siding you just washed, or the siding you were about to wash. It soaks the fascia. It dumps next to the foundation.

Early September still counts as the easy window. Labor Day weekend traffic is one thing. The first real rain after a dry stretch is another. A half-clogged downspout will find that storm. I would rather open it on a clear Tuesday than hear from you after water has already run behind the fascia.

On site I look at the gutters, the downspouts, the siding if you want eyes on it, and the roof if the streaks are showing. I tell you what the house needs and what it does not.
